About Us

Playways Playgroup started at Rainham Methodist Church in 1975 and has been very much part of the Rainham community. In September 2015 the setting was taken over by new management and changed its name to Playways Pre-school.

The pre-school provides a friendly, welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone. We offer a wide range of activities, encouraging children's free choice of resources, that accommodate all areas of development. Our high adult to child ratio assists us in supporting and promoting children's developmental skills irrespective of their ability.

The garden is easily accessed from the hall where the children can use their imagination on our outdoor stage, make mud pies in the mud kitchen, search for bugs and insects and grow vegetables which we often eat at snack time.
We encourage the children to free flow between the inside and out for most of the day.

Our Aim

Playways Pre-school aim for your child to be happy, safe and cared about whilst learning through play. With support and guidance we promote independence, confidence and self esteem. We like to encourage a child to play socially, with respect, kindness and consideration for others. To learn through play the meaning of sharing and caring.
We aim to encompass a whole new world of fun and enjoyment through play, away from the home, as part of our setting. To provide stimulation, to give help and understanding and most of all to ensure that their time in Pre-school can be looked back on with a smile.
